The West Northamptonshire Council's Planning Policy Committee convened on 19 November 2025 and addressed several key planning initiatives. The committee approved the West Northamptonshire Draft Statement of Community Involvement 2025, adopted the updated Grand Union and Oxford Canal Conservation Area Review, and moved forward with the Grange Park Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan, accepting the Examiner’s recommendations to proceed to a referendum. The Non-Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council met on 18 November 2025, and approved planning permission for a residential development at 381 Harlestone Road, Northampton, and for the conversion of an agricultural building at West Lodge Farm, Courteenhall. A decision on a retrospective application for a livestock building off Catesby Road, Hellidon, was deferred for a site visit. An appeal statement of case for land east of Drovers Way, Potterspury, was withdrawn.

The Non-Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council met on 9 October 2025, and approved plans for a children's home and a commercial development, and agreed to submit a statement of case regarding an appeal against non-determination of an application. A decision on a fourth planning application was withdrawn from the agenda.
Planning Policy Committee - Wednesday 17th September 2025 6.00 pm
The West Northamptonshire Council Planning Policy Committee met to discuss and approve the release of the draft West Northamptonshire Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (WNIDCSPD) for public consultation. The committee also agreed to use the indexation arrangements outlined in the document for all section 106 agreements[^2] in the interim. Finally, they delegated authority to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services to make minor changes to the document before its release.
