Code of Conduct Panel - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 9.15 am
The Code of Conduct Panel met to consider the outcome of code of conduct investigations. The panel was scheduled to discuss complaints made against Councillor Sheldon Vestey and determine what actions, if any, to take. The meeting was also scheduled to consider excluding the press and public from the meeting.

The Sutton Council meeting on 14 July 2025 included discussion of a number of motions, including the protection of Greenbelt land, helping residents through hard times, addressing the deterioration of Mill Green Mitcham Common, and Parkinson's awareness. Councillors also addressed questions about Sutton Housing Partnership repairs, Transport for London (TfL) works, the future of Healthwatch, the Victoria House site, carbon emissions, support for the charity sector, resident participation in planning, welfare reforms, and the committee system in local councils.
Planning Committee - Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 7.00 pm
The Sutton Council Planning Committee met on 2 July 2025, and approved a tree preservation order, a residential development, and extensions to a house. The committee voted to confirm a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) for a Copper Beech, grant permission for the erection of 8 two-storey and 1 single storey attached dwellings, and grant permission for the erection of a single-storey side and rear extension.
Strategy and Resources Committee - Monday, 16th June, 2025 7.00 pm
The Strategy and Resources Committee met on 16 June 2025 to discuss a range of issues including the council's financial performance, support for the charity sector, workforce development, and appointments to outside bodies. The committee noted a general fund revenue underspend for 2024/25, but also an overspend in the dedicated schools grant. They agreed to recommission a Charity, Faith and Community Sector infrastructure contract, and to establish the Sutton Shareholdings Board as a sub-committee.
Beddington and Wallington Local Committee - Tuesday, 10th June, 2025 7.00 pm
The Beddington and Wallington Local Committee met on 10 June 2025, and heard a community showcase from the Paul Allen project, received a budget update, and an update on housing service activity and investment from the Sutton Housing Partnership. The committee also approved Jackie Godfrey as a Community Representative on behalf of the Friends of Beddington Park, replacing Muriel McIntosh.
