Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Thursday, 11th September, 2025 4.30 pm

The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Panel met on Thursday 11th September 2025 to discuss the Doncaster Youth Council work plans, the statutory duties and priorities for children, young people and families, the Families First Partnership Programme, and the Overview and Scrutiny Work Plan and Council's Forward Plan of Key Decisions. The Panel noted the information presented on the Doncaster Youth Council and the statutory responsibilities and priorities for children, young people, and families. The Panel also noted the vision and plan of the Doncaster Family Model, and that the Families First Partnership Programme Board will be accountable for delivery of the programme. Finally, the Panel noted the Overview and Scrutiny Work Plan and Council's Forward Plan of Key Decisions.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Monday, 8th September, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council met on 8 September 2025, to consider several reviews of existing private hire and Hackney carriage licenses. The meeting was scheduled to take place at the Council Chamber, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster and the report pack indicates that members of the public and press may have been excluded for some of the meeting. The councillors scheduled to be in attendance were Councillor Karl Hughes, Councillor Nick Allen, Councillor Steven Plater and Councillor Howard Rimmer.

The Licensing Committee of Doncaster Council met on 18 June 2025 to discuss their terms of reference, procedures, and delegation of functions, as well as to receive an update on the activities of the licensing committee, licensing sub-committee and licensing service. The agenda included a review of licensing policies and upcoming decisions. The meeting was scheduled to be filmed for broadcast on the council's website.
