The Health and Wellbeing Board met on Monday 19 January 2026 to discuss the implementation of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, updates on mental health services, approaches to tackling obesity and food insecurity, and the commercial determinants of health. Key decisions included noting progress on the Health and Wellbeing Board Implementation Plan 2025-2030 and endorsing the Whole Systems Approach to Obesity as Lewisham's unified response.

The Lewisham Health and Well-Being Board convened to discuss several key initiatives, including updates on health inequalities, flu vaccination campaigns, sexual health strategies, and the implementation of the NHS 10-Year Plan. The board approved the Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley and Bexley sexual health strategy, and delegated approval of the neighbourhood health plan to the chair of the board. Members also received updates on the Birmingham Lewisham African Caribbean Health Inequalities Review (BLACHIR), the flu vaccination campaign, and the Better Care Fund.

The Lewisham Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss drug, alcohol and tobacco strategic priorities, the Lewisham Health and Wellbeing strategy, and a joint strategic needs assessment update. The board approved the Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco (DAT) strategic priorities for 2025-28 and the Lewisham Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025-2030.

The Board confirmed the minutes of the last meeting, approved the draft Better Care Fund Plan for 2025-26 and agreed to delegate approval of the final plan to the Section75 Agreement Management group. The Board discussed the draft Lewisham Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2025-30, the South East London Integrated Care Board’s Joint Forward Plan 2025-26, and a request for a study of health needs in Forest Hill ward.
