The Sutton Council Licensing Sub-Committee met on 7 July 2025 to discuss licensing procedures and a new premises licence application. The application was for a new licence for Popeyes, 137-143 High Street, Sutton, SM1 1JH, and would allow the provision of late night refreshment. Councillors were also scheduled to review the Licensing Sub-Committee's hearings procedure.

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to discuss licensing hearing procedures and a new premises licence application. The application was for a premises on London Road, North Cheam. The sub-committee was scheduled to consider an application for a new premises licence for Pepes Piri Piri Sutton.

The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss a new premises licence application and to review the Licensing Hearing Procedures. The meeting was scheduled to begin with welcome and introductions, the election of a chair, and declarations of interest.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday, 26th June, 2025 10.30 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence for the KFC at 200-202 High Street, Sutton. The committee decided to grant the application, allowing the KFC to offer late night refreshments between 23:00 and 02:00, subject to a number of conditions. These conditions related to CCTV, security, noise management and litter control, and included additional measures requested by both the applicant and the sub-committee.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Monday, 23rd June, 2025 10.30 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application from Absolute Licence Solutions Ltd on behalf of Wallington Wines Limited for a new premises licence at 150 Stafford Road, Wallington. The committee decided to grant the licence, permitting the sale of alcohol between 10:00 and 23:00 from Monday to Sunday, with the shop closing at 23:00, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it can open until midnight. The decision was made after hearing from the applicant, local councillors, and residents who raised concerns about potential public nuisance and antisocial behaviour.
