The grant funded Cheshire and Merseyside In-patient Detox Consortium: new competitive procurement exercise

This has been a very successful project with a national profile, however following the introduction of the NHS Provider Selection Regime (PSR) and a subsequent evaluation of the existing commissioning arrangements by Wirral Council Procurement and Legal colleagues, it is now recommended that a competitive procurement exercise to establish a new framework be completed to move Inpatient Detox (IPD) service providers onto a more robust commissioning regime. IPD services are commissioned by Wirral on behalf of the 9 Cheshire and Merseyside boroughs.

This report updates the Adult Social Care and Public Health Committee on the progress made in the delivery of these grant allocations. It also sets out the continued funding due to be received in 2025/26.
