This meeting was a broad overview of Children and Young People services in Lewisham. It considered reports on the performance of services for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), the performance of children's social care and Lewisham's Safeguarding Children Partnership, as well as looking at what Lewisham's young people are doing after the age of 16. Council - Wednesday, 22nd January, 2025 7.30 pm
The Council approved the Statement of Accounts 2023/24 and Annual Report 2023/24. The Council also approved a number of amendments to the Council’s Constitution and, as part of its statutory duty, approved changes to the polling scheme for elections and referendums. Finally, the Council adopted a motion declaring Lewisham a “Right to Food Borough”.
Licensing Committee - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 7.00 pm
The Licensing Committee met to consider the confirmation of the minutes of two previous meetings and an application for a variation to a premises licence for Meta Fried Chicken & Pizza, 640 Downham Way, London BR1 5HN. The minutes of the previous meetings were confirmed and signed. The application for the variation of the licence for Meta Fried Chicken and Pizza was refused on the grounds that it was likely to lead to an increase in crime and disorder and public nuisance.
