The Wandsworth Schools Forum is scheduled to consider proposals for the High Needs Budget for the next financial year, alongside updates on therapies and special educational needs support. The meeting will also review several specific projects and programmes aimed at enhancing educational provision for pupils.

The Wandsworth Schools Forum convened to discuss several key issues impacting education in the borough. The forum members agreed to set aside £40,000 from the SEN Support fund for Year 3 of the Enhanced Transition Project (ETP), and also discussed the National Funding Formula (NFF) for the upcoming financial year, pupil population projections, and high needs benchmarking data. The forum also noted reports on pupil population projections and high needs benchmarking for information.

Agenda and decisions

The Wandsworth Schools Forum met to discuss the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG), therapy provisions, and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). Gareth Evans, Assistant Director Children’s Finance, was scheduled to present reports on the DSG outturn and recovery, while Zarah Lowe, Lead Commissioner for Education, SEND and Health, was set to provide an update on therapy provision. Andy Fish, Inclusion Service Manager, was expected to present a proposal for an EBSA outreach pilot project.
