Purpose
1. Planning permission has been granted for a
development of comprising of 160 dwellings, providing a mix of two,
three, and four bed detached and semidetached properties, on land
south-east of 869 Thornton Road, Thornton. The dwellings are to be
arranged around two main spine roads, leading to a number of
cul-de-sacs and shared surfaces. The two spine roads link into the
access junctions approved as part of the outline planning
permission.
2. In order to facilitate safe vehicular and pedestrian movements
around the two new junctions on Thornton Road into the development,
a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to introduce No Waiting At Any
Time restrictions is required. The scheme is a requirement of the
planning permission and has been secured via a Section 106 legal
agreement.
Content
i) That authorisation be given to prepare and
advertise a Traffic Regulation Order for waiting restrictions on
Thornton Road, Thornton.
ii) That any valid objections to the Order be submitted to the
Bradford West Area Committee for consideration or, in the event of
there being no valid objections the Order be sealed and implemented
as advertised.
