Clean Air Schools programme to promote and install a School Street.
This will involve the closure of Tweedy Street and Village Mews for
limited periods at school start and finish times. The restrictions

time only. The restricted access will not apply to residents of the
street or certain other exempted parties including blue badge
holders, emergency vehicles, postal services, refuse vehicles
etc.
The School Street scheme will be marshalled by the school and has
the potential to provide many benefits for pupils, families, school
staff and for everyone living and working close to the school
including:
• easing school-related congestion from the local
neighbourhood
• improving air quality in the immediate vicinity of the
school
• will give children the chance walk, scoot or cycle to
school, which helps them stay healthy
• improving road safety
It is proposed to promote an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order
