Purpose

Approval for the preparation and advertisement
of a Traffic Regulation Order to facilitate new
waiting restrictions on Keighley Road and Old Corn Mill Fold,
Silsden. These restrictions are aimed
at ensuring visibility for vehicles exiting the access road from
Old Corn Mill Fold onto Keighley
Road is maintained and to restrict parking within Old Corn Mill
Fold causing obstruction.
The proposals are associated with the development of Old Corn Mill
Fold (Retrospective App No.
15/02772/FUL). The S106 agreement attached to this application
included a contribution for the
Traffic Regulation Order to maintain visibility for vehicles
exiting Old Corn Mill Fold. As parking
would be removed from the frontages of the existing properties on
Keighley Rd 6 parking spaces
were provided within Old Corn Mill Fold to compensate. The internal
No Waiting restrictions are
proposed to protect access to these spaces and prevent
indiscriminate parking.
