Purpose

In October 2023, the DfT announced additional
funding for local highway maintenance
from 2023/24 to 2033/34. West Yorkshire Combined Authority were
informed in December
2023 that allocations of £4,633,000 would be made available
for each of the financial
years 2023/24 and 2024/25. Bradford’s allocation for each of
those financial years is
£949,765 and it is the intention to spend the 2-year
allocation (£1,899,530) in 2024/25.
Approval to the implementation of proposals contained in Appendix 1
and Table 1 of this
report is now sought.
