Resolved –
 
(1)       That  the programmes of
Safe Roads schemes for 2024/25 listed in     Appendices 1 and 2 to Document
“W” be approved subject to the          
inclusion of items in Appendix 2 for Coppice Wood Avenue/Grove
   (removal of permit parking) and
Beacon Road near Beacon            
Community Church (restrictions to accommodate funeral vehicles
     and access bus) and
a correction in Appendix 2 to the entry for        Reevy Avenue to include Beacon Grove.
 
(2)      That an item
for a Pedestrian Crossing on Halifax Road at its     junction with St Paul’s Avenue
be added to Appendix 4 to      Document
“W”.
 
(3)      That any
Traffic Regulation Orders, or any legal procedures linked
     to the processing of
traffic calming measures or pedestrian       crossing facilities which
are necessary to implement the chosen    schemes be approved for processing and
advertising subject to     the
scheme details being agreed with the local Ward Members.
 
(4)       That any valid
objections to the advertised Traffic Regulation    Orders, traffic calming or pedestrian facilities be submitted to
this Area Committee for consideration or in the event of there
being          no valid
objections the Traffic Regulation Orders be sealed and            
implemented and the traffic calming or pedestrian facilities be
implemented as advertised.
 
(5)       That should
inflationary pressures on the projects listed in        Appendices 1 and 2
to Document “W” make delivery of the full         programme
impossible a further report be brought to the Area          
Committee to reconsider scheme priorities.
 
(6)       That the Bradford
South Area Coordinator looks into how
the               
enforcement of TRO’s can be improved and the findings be
reported back to this Area Committee.
