Purpose

Following completion of the works and
monitoring of the traffic flows it is now considered that to
gain the full benefit of the road widening scheme all parking on
the eastern kerbline on North
Street (between Cavendish Street and High Street) be removed and
replaced with ‘No Waiting At
Any Time’ restrictions together with ‘No loading
Mon-Sat, Midday-6pm.
During 2nd Tier consultation with businesses on North Street, two
objections were received,
(see APPENDIX 1)
Officer Comments: Nearby parking is available within a short
distance (on-street parking on Scott
Street and off-street parking at Church Green Car Park).

i) That the proposed Waiting, Loading and
Parking Restrictions (as shown on drawing No.
THN/101986/NS/CON-1A (attached as Appendix 2) be approved and
implemented as
formally advertised.
ii) That the objectors be advised accordingly.
