Purpose
To seek approval to commence a consultation on
proposed changes to the discretionary elements of the Adult Social
Care Non-Residential Charging Policy to identify if there are
opportunities to for the Council to make savings.
Content
Resolved –
(1)
That following consideration of the issues raised within this
report, and the equality impact assessment set out in Appendix B to
Document “AL”, the Strategic Director, Adult Social
Care & Health be authorised to undertake the consultation with
the key stakeholders ensuring that due regard is made to the
Council’s public sector duty as set out in the Equality Act
2010.

That it be agreed that a final proposal for any changes to the
Council’s charging policy, taking into account the responses
to the consultation, be brought back to the Executive in June 2025
for due consideration.
