That Staffing
Committee:
 

(1)       Approved the
proposals set out in Option 1 to Document “B” (set out
below) and due to the urgent need to fulfil the role, to begin the
recruitment process and to update and inform the appointed
Appointment Panel for the recruitment plan:
 

(i)          
Option 1 – Staffing committee to
appoint an Appointment Panels to undertake the selection process
for the post of Strategic Director of Corporate Services in
accordance with the Council’s Constitution and Pay Policy
Statement

(2)       Delegated to the
Appointments Panels, the responsibility to appoint to the position
of Strategic Director of Corporate Services and that the Panel
comprise three Elected Members, namely Councillors Hinchcliffe, I
Khan (or Cllr Kamran Hussain) and Pollard.

(3)       Appointed the
services of a specialist executive search headhunter who has a significant track record and success in
appointing to these specialist positions and being primary leads in
searching for high calibre/quality diverse candidates, advising on
aspects of the recruitment process.
