Little Horton Lane, Bradford. Addition to the 2025-26 Bradford West Various Sites Traffic Regulation Order
September 8, 2025 Strategic Director, Place (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
1. Approval for a Traffic Regulation Order for
minor amendments to parking arrangements on various roads in
Bradford West was granted by the Bradford West Area Committee on 10
July 2025.
2. Issues at one additional site in Bradford West have been
identified as follows:
i. As part of the Council’s (Active Travel) initiative to
improve pedestrian access to St Luke’s Hospital, a new
pedestrian refuge has been installed on Little Horton Lane near its
junction with Melbourne Place. To ensure the refuge is a safe
crossing point it will be necessary to change the current daytime
parking restriction to a No Waiting At Any Time restriction. This
will maintain clear visibility for both pedestrians and drivers and
retain smooth traffic flow.
3. This decision sheet seeks approval to add the site at Little
Horton Lane to the 2025-26 Bradford West Various Sites Traffic
Regulation Order
Content
i. That authorisation be given to prepare and
advertise a Traffic Regulation Order for waiting restrictions on
Little Horton Lane in the vicinity of Melbourne Place.
ii. That any valid objections to the Order be submitted to the
Bradford West Area Committee for consideration or, in the event of
there being no valid objections the Order be made, sealed and
implemented as advertised.
