Content
Resolved –
(1) That the programmes
of Safe Roads schemes for 2025/26 listed in Appendices 1, 2 and 3,
attached to Document “D”, be approved.
(2) That any Traffic
Regulation Orders (TRO), or any legal procedures linked to the processing of
traffic calming measures or pedestrian crossing facilities which
are necessary to implement the chosen schemes for processing and advertising
subject to the scheme details being
agreed with the local Ward Members, be approved.
(3) That any objections
received to proposals advertised through the Area Wide Traffic
Regulation Order process that cannot be resolved and have to be
withdrawn from the Order will be reported to the relevant ward
members.
(4) That should
inflationary pressures on the projects listed in Appendices 1 and 2
make delivery of the full programme
impossible, a further report be brought to the Keighley and Ilkley
Area Committee to
reconsider scheme priorities.
(5) That the proposed
review of the Area-wide Traffic Regulation Order process, including the residents-only
permit parking policy,
be welcomed, and that the committee be kept informed of strategic
decisions made about this process.
