Purpose

Agree the budget for and begin the procurement
and preparation for the Council’s Enterprise Resources
Planning (ERP) system.

Based
on the Council’s current challenges and ambitions, Executive
resolve to:
 
(1)      Replace the current SAP ERP
with a cloud ERP solution       that    offers:
 
·       standardised best-practice processes
·       embedded AI, machine learning, and modern user
experience
·       improved integration and automation potential
·       long-term vendor support and innovation roadmap
 
(2)      Begin structured market
engagement including early vendor        
demonstrations:
 
·       
leading to a competitive procurement process to
select the best solution for the Council.
 
(3)      Agreed the estimated budget as
set out in NFP Appendix 5 to        Document
“AO” including the recruitment where necessary, of
       
appropriate resources to undertake the programme.
 
(4)      Agreed that officers begin
preparatory work as set out in          
Appendix 3 to Document “AO”.
 
(5)      Agreed that officers develop
the OBC and all supporting            
programme methodologies.
 
(6)      Agreed that officers receive
regular reports on the progress of this programme.
 
(7)      Agreed that officers define,
and apply, robust governance,          
change and decision management protocols from the
outset.
 
(8)     
Confirm the preferred option through the OBC in September
2026.
