At the start of the meeting under Council
Standing Order 9.1.2 a vote was taken to re-order the business on
the agenda to move Motion 12.1 (Call to divest the
West Yorkshire Pension Fund from companies that are complicit in or
profit from the violation of Palestinian Human Rights,
International Law and acts of ethnic cleansing) to be considered
under item 6 – Petitions.”
 
Resolved –
 
That under Council Standing Order 9.1.2 to
re-order the business on the agenda to move Motion
12.1 (Call to divest the West Yorkshire Pension Fund
from companies that are complicit in or profit from the violation
of Palestinian Human Rights, International Law and acts of ethnic
cleansing) to be considered under item 6 – Petitions.
 
 
Under Council Standing Order 9.1.4 a further
vote was taken to combine the debates on Motion 12.1 Call to divest the West Yorkshire
Pension Fund from companies that are complicit in or profit from
the violation of Palestinian Human Rights, International Law and
acts of ethnic cleansing) and the petition (West Yorkshire Pension
Fund – Divest from Genocide in Palestine) which has more than
1500 signatures and therefore qualified for a debate.
 
 
Resolved –
 
That under Council Standing Order 9.1.4 the
debates on Motion 12.1 (Call to divest the West Yorkshire
Pension Fund from companies that are complicit in or profit from
the violation of Palestinian Human Rights, International Law and
acts of ethnic cleansing) and the petition (West Yorkshire Pension
Fund – Divest from Genocide in Palestine) be combined with a
separate vote taken on the motion and petition.

Votes were taken that general dispensations be
granted in accordance with paragraph 21.1 of the Members’
Code of Conduct  to any member with an
interest in Motion 12.1 (Call to divest the West Yorkshire Pension
Fund from companies that are complicit in or profit from the
violation of Palestinian Human Rights, International Law and acts
of ethnic cleansing), 12.2 (Safe Homes, Safe Standards and a Fairer
Housing System for Bradford), Motion 12.3 (Consultation on
Amendment of Bradford Council Tax Reduction Scheme), 12.6 (West Yorkshire Pension Fund
– Safeguarding our Futures) and the petition West
Yorkshire Pension Fund – Divest from Genocide in
Palestine. 
 
Resolved -
 
That in accordance with paragraph 21.1 of
the Members’ Code of Conduct general
dispensations  were granted
 to any member with an interest
in Motion 12.1 (Call to divest the West Yorkshire Pension Fund
from companies that are complicit in or profit from the violation
of Palestinian Human Rights, International Law and acts of ethnic
cleansing), 12.2 (Safe Homes, Safe Standards and a Fairer Housing
System for Bradford), Motion 12.3 (Consultation on Amendment of
Bradford Council Tax Reduction Scheme), 12.6 (West Yorkshire
Pension Fund – Safeguarding our Futures) and the petition
West Yorkshire Pension Fund – Divest from Genocide in
Palestine.  In each case many members
may have an interest themselves or through relatives which would
impede business, upset the representation of different political
groups and it is in the interest of the area generally to have all
members able to participate.
