A vote was taken to grant a dispensation to
all Members who had certain Disclosable Pecuniary Interests, as
defined in the Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary
Interests) Regulations 2012, in the decision to approve the budget
and to set the level of Council Tax and Business Rates for 2026/27
during the Budget Council meeting on 10 March 2026.
 
Resolved -
 
(1)     
That a dispensation be granted to the Members of the Authority
         who have
requested one, to enable them to participate in full in
      the decision
to approve the budget for 2026/27 and to set the        Council Tax and
Business Rates for 2026/27.
(2)      That
the dispensation be approved for a period of 1 year until 10
         
March 2027.
(3)     
That it be noted that the Monitoring Officer’s advice that
such     interests referred to
in paragraph 3.6 of his report shall not      prevent Members from speaking
and voting at the Budget        Council
meeting.
