Purpose

To present the final draft of the Children and
Young People’s Strategy. The Strategy is a chapter of the
District Plan and sets out what partners will do to improve the
lives of children, young people and families to help make Bradford
District a great place to grow up.

Content

Recommended –
 
(1)             
That the progress that has been made during the
life span of the Children and Young People’s Strategy 2023
– 2025 be noted.
 
(2)             
That the approach taken with the development of
the new Strategy 2025 - 2035, enabling annual monitoring of
District-wide outcomes for all children and young people, and
termly monitoring of five priority areas of work be
noted.
 
(3)             
That the role of the CYPF Exec as the governance
and assurance lead for delivery of the Children and Young
People’s Strategy (reporting to the Wellbeing Board) be
noted.
 
(4)             
That the CYP Strategy as the Districts shared
partnership plan for children and young people that live in the
Bradford District be endorsed, and it be recommended that this is
tabled for Full Council alongside the Council Plan.
