Purpose

The report will relate to a new Shopfront
Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) in support of
the Bradford Local Plan.

Content

Recommended –
 

(1)      That the Shopfront
Design Guide with the changes as recommended, attached in Appendix
2, be approved for adoption as a Supplementary Planning Document
(SPD).
 

(2)      By virtue of the
above, the current Shopfront Design Guide SPD (2007) and A
Shopkeepers Guide To Securing Their Premises SPD (2012) be formally
revoked.
 

(3)      That authority be
delegated to the Assistant Director (Planning, Transportation and
Highways) in consultation with the Portfolio Holder to make
necessary minor drafting changes, prior to the formal publication
of the adopted Shopfront Design Guide SPD.
