Purpose
The Landscape Character Assessment
Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been prepared as part of
the Bradford District Local Plan and provides guidance on how
developers and planners should consider and react to the landscape
in new developments and how to mitigate any impacts.
Content
Resolved –
(1) That the formal
adoption of the Landscape Character Assessment (2025)
(incorporating the recommended changes as set out in Appendix 2),
as a Supplementary Planning Document be approved.
(2) By virtue of the
above, the Landscape Character Assessment (2008) Supplementary
Planning Document be formally revoked.
(3) That authority be
delegated to the Assistant Director (Planning, Transportation and
Highways) in consultation with the Executive Portfolio Holder for
Regeneration, Planning and Transport, to make necessary minor
drafting changes, prior to the formal publication of the adopted
Landscape Character Assessment SPD.
