Purpose
To receive an update on the review of
intermediate care for older adults and people with disabilities, on
an enhanced model of care we have called 'Home Fast' and to make
further recommendations on bed-based services required by the
health and care system.
Content
Resolved –
(1) That Executive noted and
commented on the success of the Home FAST scheme which is
receiving national recognition for Bradford. Members also noted the diminishing
demand for bedded facilities in our system.
(2) That the planned build of a
new care facility at Saltaire as
part of the council’s capital programme does not proceed.
(3) That the Saltaire site be
released to the Estates Team to include within
the Disposals Programme to generate a capital receipt for
the council.
