The Renewal, Recreation and Housing Portfolio Holder is a Member of the Executive and decides on matters relating to: · housing and homelessness · enhancing the skill level of the work force; · supporting businesses and encouraging enterprise culture; · inward investment; · town planning policy and building control; · local land charges; · leisure, culture and libraries. Some decisions on the above subjects are delegated to appropriate officers. The leisure function includes matters relating to leisure centres, libraries and the arts and monitoring of the Council's service providers Mytime Active and Greenwich Leisure.
