The Portfolio Holder for Sustainability, Green
Services and Open Spaces approved the two year extension option for
the Bromley Market Stall Assembly Contract. It was approved on the
basis that the extension would be for the period of January 2024 to
December 2025, at an estimated value of £218k,  based on an estimated annual value of
£109,000k.

Reasons for the decision

The Market Stall Assembly Contract is due to
expire in December 2023 and so an extension is required. The report
sets forth the reasons to apply the two year extension option. The
historic market is a key aspect of Bromley’s High Street and
part of the town’s vibrant local community hub. It
complements local businesses and serves as a destination for
residents and shoppers alike. For these reasons there is a
reputational aspect to the service to ensure it is delivered in a
timely and professional manner.
