The Portfolio Holder for Transport, Highways
and Road Safety approved the progress of the scheme to detailed
design and implementation. He also agreed that the cost of the
scheme should be met from the 2024/25 TfL budget for bus priority
measures.
 
The Portfolio Holder agreed to delegate
authority to the Director of Environment and Public Protection to
make minor changes to the schemes in response to operational
requirements.

Reasons for the decision

The scheme proposals include new sections of
bus lane, junction improvements to benefit pedestrian safety, and a
new controlled crossing to also improve safety. The proposals are
in line with the objectives of the Borough’s Local
Implementation Plan.
