That
The
contents of this report be noted.
It be
noted that the recommended approach is to terminate the previously
approved development proposals.
The
Executive decide not to start any further property acquisitions,
whether by Private Treaty or by Compulsory Purchase, within the
area of land encompassing Ethelbert Close and other areas
collectively known as Churchill Quarter or Site G, edged red on the
attached plan Appendix 1.
That it be
agreed to divest over time properties acquired for this purpose
with sale by auction.
It be
agreed not to proceed with the purchase of 3 flats at Ethelbert
Close should they not meet LAHF requirements, viability or
suitability criteria and the Director of Housing, Planning Property
and Regeneration be authorised to negotiate and complete terms for
the purchases of up to 3 flats where they do meet the requirements
and criteria.
The
Director of Housing, Planning, Property and Regeneration be
authorised to sell by way of auction the vacant flats the details
of which are set out in the Part 2 report where they do not meet
the viability or suitability criteria.
Authority
be delegated to the Director of Housing, Planning and Regeneration
to finalise terms of sale for the properties to be put into
auction.
Authority be delegated to the
Assistant Director of Legal Services to enter into all relevant
legal agreements and any ancillary legal documentation relating to
the disposal of properties.
