Purpose
To enter into grant funding agreements and contracts for Skills Bootcamps
Decision
It was resolved to:
A Approves the utilisation of £2m, of the total £13.4m 2026/27 Adult Skills allocation, to deliver Skills Bootcamps in 2026/27 (including Wave 6 extensions and Wave 7 provision).
B Delegate authority to the Executive Director Place and Economy working with the Assistant Director for Skills and Employment, in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer and Monitoring Officer to:
· Extend and vary existing Wave 6 contracts where appropriate, in accordance with contract provisions and funding conditions;
· Enter into grant funding agreements and contracts for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps within the approved budget allocation; and
· Undertake a relevant procurement exercise and subsequently awards and enter into contracts with the successful bidders
