Purpose
To enter into grant funding agreements and contracts for Skills Bootcamps
Decision
RESOLVED: to (Unanimous)
A. Note that Skills Bootcamp funding for 2026/27 is now devolved to the Combined Authority and forms part of the consolidated Adult Skills Fund.
B. Recommend that the Combined Authority Board approves the utilisation of £2m, of the total £13.4m 2026/27 Adult Skills allocation, to deliver Skills Bootcamps in 2026/27 (including Wave 6 extensions and Wave 7 provision).
C. Recommend that the Combined Authority Board delegates authority to the Executive Director of Place and Economy working with the Assistant Director for Skills and Employment, in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer and Monitoring Officer, to:
(i) Extend and vary existing Wave 6 contracts where appropriate, in accordance with contract provisions and funding conditions;
(ii) Enter into grant funding agreements and contracts for the delivery of Skills Bootcamps within the approved budget allocation;
(iii) Undertake a relevant procurement exercise and subsequently award and enter into contracts with the successful bidders.
