Purpose

This report puts
forward the Council’s options regarding a dispute that has
arisen between the London Borough of Camden and its landlord over
arrears of service charge and utility charges since March 2020 and
over the cost apportionment of utility charges. The property that
is the subject of the dispute is held on a long leasehold by London
Borough of Camden (“LBC”) and is sub-let to a charity
that sits within the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS)
Portfolio.
 
The report seeks
to obtain the Executive Director’s approval to settle the
dispute between the Council and its landlord.

Decision

THAT the
settlement of the dispute between the Council and its landlord, in
the terms set out in the confidential Part II Appendix, be
approved.
