Purpose

This report seeks approval of the outcome of a competitive grant award process.

It is recommended that the grant is allocated across 12 organisations, as outlined in section 3 of this report, which would form the new Camden Advice Network and provides the geographical and cultural spread of advice services outlined in the cabinet report.

The award of this funding in this way, to secure provision of service outcomes, is outside the scope of the procurement regime. However although the grant award process is not a procurement exercise in any legal sense, as a matter of best practice the endorsement of the Local Commissioning and Procurement Board has been sought.

Cabinet agreed to delegate the grant award decision to the Executive Director in consultation with the Cabinet Member in the recommendations set out in the Cabinet report of 17th July 2019.
