Purpose

This report outlines details of the Council’s proposal to provide a dedicated disabled bay outside numbers (nos.) 1 to 15 Mackonochie House, Baldwin’s Gardens, EC1N by converting 6.6 metres (m) of the existing resident permit holder parking space and converting 5.5m of double yellow lines outside number (no.) 7 Brookes Court to a resident permit holder only parking space and seeks approval from the Chief Engineer, for its implementation.

This follows a request from a resident who met the eligibility criteria for a dedicated disabled bay close to their home. 

The proposal meets the aims of We Make Camden by improving the quality of life of disabled residents who require access to a vehicle, by enabling them to live independent and active lives in the local community.

Decision

That the installation of a dedicated disabled bay outside nos. 1 to 15 Mackonochie House, Baldwin’s Gardens, EC1N and the conversion of double yellow lines to a resident permit holder only bay outside no. 7 Brookes Court, Baldwin’s Gardens, EC1N be approved subject to compliance with relevant statutory requirements and detailed design.
