About

The Glamorgan Archives Joint Committee (GAJC) is responsible for developing and running a joint archive service for six local authorities: Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and the Vale of Glamorgan. The committee comprises elected councillors from these authorities, with membership numbers allocated proportionally to each authority's population. It also includes up to six co-opted members with an interest in archives. The committee meets four times a year to oversee the administration and operation of the archive service.
