Appendix 1 of this report is exempt from publication on the
basis that it contains information of the description set out in
paragraphs 16 of Part 4 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act
1972 and in all the circumstances of the case,
information in respect of which a claim to
legal professional privilege could be maintained in legal
proceedings.
 
AGREED:  that
 
1.          
It be noted that following the administration of ISG
Construction Ltd, Cardiff Council appointed an interim principal
contractor for Fairwater Community Campus. Cardiff Council and
issued a tender to procure a replacement principal contractor to
take the scheme to handover and completion, however, there was no
market interest. 
 
2.          
The procurement process for a replacement principal
contractor be ceased.
 
3.          
It be noted that a Cabinet report will follow this
ODR proposing next steps.
 

Reasons for the decision

To minimise the impact on cost
and programme for the construction of Fairwater Community Campus so
additional school places can be provided in a timely
manner.
