AGREED: that a direct award to
NappiCycle Ltd be approved.
 

Reasons for the decision

·    
The Authority requires an arrangement for the
recycling of the Absorbent Hygiene Products
to maximise recycling performance and avoid potential Welsh
Government fines.

The Service Provider is the only known provider of
this service. The Service Provider will arrange the safe and
compliant transportation of the waste from Cardiff’s Waste
Transfer Station (WTS) to their designated licenced treatment
facility(ies). The waste will be
processed in accordance with a recognised treatment process and
achieve a minimum of 70% recycling performance to support Cardiff
achieve its Recycling Targets.
