Full council record
Purpose
Cardiff like many cities continues
to experience a Housing Emergency. To make best use of the social
housing that is available recommendations will be made to amend
some elements of the Policy.
Additionally, it
is proposed that a new Specialist Accommodation Allocations Policy
be introduced. This policy aims to ensure that households with
additional care and housing needs are allocated homes that best
suit their individual requirements.
Before these
amendments can be implemented, a public consultation will be
launched to gather opinions on the proposals. A second Cabinet
report will be presented after the consultation has been fully
analysed and all views and comments have been
considered.
