in paragraphs 14 and 21 of parts 4 and 5 of Schedule 12 A to the
Local Government Act 1972

 
AGREED:
that the additional expenditure (detailed in
Appendix A) relating to the property purchase agreement of 78
residential apartments for social housing and 5 ground floor units
with potential for use as commercial space at Scott Harbour,
Butetown be approved.
 

Reasons for the decision

The expenditure includes
elements of work over and above those included with the developers
‘outline specification agreement’ and the original
acquisition price. The additional costs relate to design changes
and work required to better align development proposal with council
preference, Secured-By-Design and WDQR standards for social housing
(e.g. creation of a secure rear courtyard for resident benefit).
