RESOLVED: that
 
(1) 
the updated Budget Position for 2026/27 be
noted.
 
(2) 
the proposed approach to Budget Consultation for
2026/27 be agreed, and subject to that agreement:

it be noted that the formal budget consultation will
commence on the 8th January 2026 and run until midnight
on the 1st February 2026. The results of the
consultation process will then be considered by Cabinet in
preparing their final 2026/27 budget proposal.
 
(3) 
It be noted that the Chief Executive as Head of Paid
Service will be issuing all necessary statutory and non-statutory
employment consultation in respect of the staffing implications of
the proposals
