pursuant to Paragraph 16 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Local
Government Act 1972

 
AGREED: that the tender
process be abandoned and not  awarded
to  the Independent Professional
Advocacy Service (IPA) contracts; Contract 1, IPA for older adults
aged 55 and over, including residential care home advocacy; for
adults with a Physical & Sensory Impairment and for those with
Mental Ill-health and/or Substance Misuse; Contract 2, IPA for
adults aged 18 and over living with learning disabilities to any of
the bidders.
 

Reasons for the decision

If the contract was to be awarded, the tender
evidence indicates that services could not be delivered to the
expected requirements and would be unsustainable over the intended
term of the contracts.
