AGREED: that
(i)
A direct award for supported public bus service
subsidies be awarded on de-minimis
grounds in line with the Service Subsidy Agreements
(Tendering) Regulations 1985 as amended by the Service Subsidy
Agreements (Tendering) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations
2002.
(ii)
The subsidy period will be for three years, from
1st April 2024 to 31st March 2027.
Reasons for the decision
To enable officers to direct
award subsidies to fund parts of existing bus services that are
provided by bus operators on a commercial basis for the majority of
the day, but require additional support to provide services at the
start and end of the day, or sections of a service for socially
necessary bus services.
