Reasons for the decision
The
Sustainable Production and Supply of Food Challenge aligns directly
with Cardiff’s One Planet Strategy, Cardiff’s Food
Strategy, and various Welsh Government policies to deliver
sustainable, localised food production.
The Round 2 Challenge provides a funded route for Cardiff Council
to engage with the business community, potentially leading to the
creation of new business models, new technology developments and
ultimately to the procurement of innovative and more sustainable
solutions for food production in the city, the region and
beyond.
