Appendix A is exempt from disclosure from
publication on the basis that it contains information of the
description set out in paragraphs 14 and 21 of Part 4 of schedule
12 A of the Local Government Act 1972 and in all the circumstances
of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption
outweighs the public interest in disclosing the
information.
 
AGREED that
approval be granted for the existing Street Furniture Agreement for
the provision and maintenance of bus shelters, incorporating
commercial advertising be extended for a term of five
years.
 

Reasons for the decision

1.The existing Street
Furniture Agreement expires on 31st March 2024.

 

2.An extension will
enable the existing services and facilities to continue to be
provided to the travelling public at no cost to the
Council.

 

3.An extension will
ensure that at the very minimum, the current levels of income to
the Council from this Agreement will be maintained.

 

4.An extension to the
Agreement is permitted under the current terms for up to a further
5-year term.
