Purpose

Local Authorities have
a statutory duty under section 44 of the Welsh Language [Wales]
Measure 2011 to comply with regulation ‘Welsh language
standards’.

Cardiff Council is
under a duty to comply with standards relating to producing and
publishing an Annual Report.
 
This will be the sixth
annual report produced under the Welsh language
standards.

 

Content

RESOLVED: that Council be recommended to approve the
Welsh Language Standards Annual Report 2022-2023 (attached as
Appendix A) prior to formal publication in
accordance with the Welsh Language Standards (Welsh Language
(Wales) Measure 2011).
