Purpose

Review and revise
Strategic Equality Plan, 2020-24.  To
ensure compliance with The Public Sector Equality Duty, specific to
Wales, the Council is required to develop and publish a strategic
equality plan, every four years.
 

Content

RESOLVED:
that
 

1.             
the Council’s draft Equality, Diversity &
Inclusion Strategy 2024-28 (attached at Appendix A) be
approved for engagement and public consultation.

2.             
the engagement and public consultation to be carried
out in relation to the draft Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Strategy 2024-28, as set out in the report, be agreed specifically,
paragraphs 38 and 39 and Appendix D; and

3.             
it be agreed that a further report be received to
approve the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy 2024-28,
having due regard to the outcomes of the engagement and public
consultation, in September 2024.
