AGREED:
that
1.
In accordance with the Cabinet decision of 23 May
2024 to acquire the properties known as Scott Harbour and former
Regus buildings, Pierhead Street,
Cardiff Bay, the exchange of contracts/agreements for lease be
approved.
2.
In accordance with the Cabinet decision of 23 May
2024 to acquire Plot 6, Pierhead
Street, Cardiff Bay, the exchange of contracts and completion of
the purchase, in line with the approved Heads of Terms attached in
Appendix A, be approved.
3.
The backstop funding approach to enable the
acquisition to proceed be noted.
4.
In the event that Welsh Government grant funding is
not available for this acquisition, to defer or cease, or dispose
of the development sites identified.
Reasons for the decision
Further to the Cabinet report
dated 23 May 2024 giving in principle approval to acquire the
properties and land identified within this report and delegating
authority to the Corporate Director People & Communities in
consultation with the S151 Officer, Legal services and the Cabinet
members for Housing and Communities and Finance, Modernisation and
Performance, all conditions and due
diligence have now been met as set out in the report enabling the
acquisitions to proceed to exchange.
