Appendix 2 is exempt from publication pursuant to
paragraph 16 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act
1972

 
AGREED:
that
 
a)   
the proposed procurement route and associated
evaluation criteria (as set out below) be approved and
b)   
tenders be invited via the SEWSCAP Framework Lot 7
to procure a contractor to deliver a new pool, the associated
reconfiguration, mechanical and electrical works and refurbishment
of existing changing facilities. The estimated value of the works
for the updated Pentwyn Leisure Centre offer is estimated at circa
£4m which has been approved as part of the Capital Investment
Programme for 2025/26 with a £3m indicative capital budget
allocation and £1m SPF grant allocation.
 

Reasons for the decision

To deliver the new pool
provision and associated works at Pentwyn Leisure Centre within the
limits of the approved budget.
 
Commencing the procurement will
ensure that a contractor is appointed, and works can be concluded
by Summer 2025 and community leisure requirements can be met and
the funding requirements to draw-down on the Shared Prosperity Fund
resources can be secured.
