Licensing Sub-Committee

The Licensing Sub-Committee is responsible for determining applications for new licences or variations to existing licences under the Licensing Act 2003. It considers representations made by the public concerning the licensing objectives: prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, prevention of public nuisance, and protection of children from harm. If relevant representations are received, the Sub-Committee, composed of at least three Licensing Committee members, will hold a hearing to make a decision. Only those who have made representations or their representatives may address the Sub-Committee.
