Purpose

This report summarises the
procurement process and provides recommendations for the award of
the tender for the Information, Advice and Guidance contract. This
tender sought to identify a provider that aligns with the
Council’s objectives of delivering accessible, high-quality
advice services to residents, particularly those facing financial,
housing, or legal challenges.
 
Following the advertising of
the tender in September 2024, two proposals were submitted. After a
rigorous evaluation, the one submitted by bidder (A) is
recommended.

For the reason set out in this
report the Assistant Chief Executive
AGREED to:
 
Award the contract for the
provision of Information, Advice and Guidance to the bidder (A)
named in Part B of this report for a term of (2) two years with the
option of an extension for a further (1) one year for the contract
value stated in Part B of this report. This recommendation is
following a compliant procurement process.
 
Note that the name of the
successful bidder will be released after the award
decision.
