Purpose
The Council is required to
undertake compliance works in relation to Building Safety Act,
there has been a number of remedial works identified following Fire
Risk Assessments.
These works cover all the
Estates across the borough, which includes Residential dwellings,
Sheltered, Special Sheltered/Extra Care blocks and other high-risk
properties/blocks/sites). This will also include leaseholder units
where applicable.
The outcome of the proposed
tender exercise will identify 2 contractors, that will deliver
specified remedial works across the borough.

The Cabinet Member for Homes,
in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance, AGREED
to:
Approve the procurement
strategy outlined in this report for the appointment via the London
Construction Programme Dynamic Purchasing Systems of 2 Fire Safety
Contractors for five (5) years term contract, valued at £5
million per annum (total value of £25 million over the
contract term).
Note that the Chair of CCB has
approved a waiver of the requirement for a separate business case
as required in the Tender and Contract Regulations, although
elements of a business case are contained within the body of this
